God Reschedules Rapture

All righty! The blog post that started HERE is now in Funny or Die format here:

But, be warned! There was some improvisation going on. I didn’t know he would call the Bible trash. Yah, he calls the Bible trash. So… maybe you shouldn’t watch it if you love Bibles. But, hey, it’s for fun. It’s a funny thing. That’s why the people who are out to get the South Park guys and that other cartoonist dude who drew the Prophet Muhammad will totally understand that I was just joking when I wrote the line in here that describes what the Prophet Muhammad looks like. Right? All in jest. Besides, no time to be mad or offended when we’re all about to die. Happy Rapture!

Also, Antonio Sabato Jr!

This is so beyond cool…..Oprah says she’s just a little colored girl from the south and look at her now. You are just a little Spanish polish girl from Addison and look at where you are now! I know you hate Oprah and everything but I had to do it. Congrats on this, I could not be happier for you! LOVED the sketch too!

In college this kid got fired from the school newspaper for drawing a comic of Muhammad. I think it was more for how badly the comic was drawn though. Stick figures? Horrible beard? I was offended. I would have written a sternly worded letter about his horrendous artistry but there was a keg party to go to.

Gotta meet chicks. No time for religion.

Me too! What should we get? I’m still on an island in Honduras, so there’s not much here. I could either go for some second-hand clothes or some bananas. They’re all mine ALL MINE!

Um. You are the coolest person I know right now. In the virtual way. And kind of my hero.

The end.

okay, so i have to admit–i didn’t even know what the rapture was until yesterday. i read your blog back when you first wrote it, thought it was funny; watched the FOD video, thought it was funny and shared it on FB, then everyone at work was talking about your video (i had to brag, thats MY friend), AND it wasn’t until then someone filled me in on THE rapture. then i read the blog again and watched the video again, then started seeing the rapture everywhere! i survived anyways! have you seen the oatmeal’s rapture comic? it’s funny, you’ll like it.

I can’t wait to come visit so I can sleep on the couch of a blogger who was played by an actress in a video!!!!!!!

FrankStraniero May 23, 2011 at 2:24 pm

This was an absolutely hysterical video. God down playing all the things that so many are so dedicated to and portraying him as an everyday schlub, genius. It’s a shame that you have to apologize to people even though it is clearly a joke, but I guess that’s the world we live in. Everyone taking everything way too seriously, not realizing it is supposed to be funny, and just wanting to complain about anything and everything. Thanks for being real and congrats on everything. Any words of wisdom for a fellow blogger that is just starting out?
